Employment Equity

Employment Equity at Carlington Community Health Centre

At Carlington, we are committed to hiring people who share our values and mission. When opportunities arise to add to our team, we are determined to attract and secure the people who bring the best experience and qualifications to the position, with special attention paid to ensuring that our team reflects our community. In order to achieve this objective, we follow a recruitment process that is equitable, transparent, consistent and barrier-free.

Our Philosophy

At Carlington, our core beliefs include a strong belief in equal opportunity in employment practices, free from discrimination, as stated in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Ontario Human Rights Code. Opportunity will not be denied on the grounds of race, religious beliefs, colour, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, mental ability, ancestry, place of origin, age, marital status, source of income or family status. We encourage applications from members of equity-seeking groups.

Our Commitment to Diversity and Employment Equity

At Carlington, we are committed to ensuring that our internal human resources policies, practices, and systems are free of barriers, emphasize the value of diversity, and promote full participation, to ensure dignity, respect, and equal access for all candidates and staff.

Carlington takes pride in recognizing that employment equity respects the value and dignity of each individual and ensures everyone has genuine, open and unhindered access to employment opportunities at our Centre; free from any barriers, systemic or otherwise.

In keeping with our commitment, Carlington has established the following statement on employment equity:

Carlington is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment, without regard of race, religious beliefs, colour, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, mental ability, ancestry, place of origin, age, marital status, and source of income or family status. We encourage applications from members of equity-seeking groups.
