Crisis Intake

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
Our Crisis Intake office offers immediate help for our most vulnerable populations by offering personal crisis and support with food security, referrals and practical assistance. Access to our emergency food cupboard provided to those within our service area. Walk-in or by appointment.

Counselling Services

ONGOING SERVICE
Our counselling services support adults, couples, families, youth aged 12 to 25, and newcomers by addressing healthy relationships, trauma, abuse, addictions, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and 2SLGBTQ issues. Our tailored approach empowers healing, growth, and resilience in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.

Our HealthBox

ONGOING RESOURCE
Located outside of the Centre, Our HealthBox dispensing unit offers health and harm reduction supplies and offers real-time insights into community needs. It features a directory of local services, connecting individuals with essential resources, and provides health education materials, including naloxone training videos, to empower the community and save lives.

We offer foot care services with a certified chiropodist and foot care nurse. Appointments are required. To book, please contact main reception.

Vaccinations are available by appointment only for registered clients of the Clinic as per the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and Ottawa Public Health guidelines. Seasonal flu shot clinics will operate for Centre clients according to Ottawa Public Health guidelines.

After Hours On Call Services

ONGOING SERVICE
The After Hours On-Call Service supports registered primary care clients with urgent issues that can’t wait until the clinic reopens. If unavailable, contact Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-000

Birth Control

ONGOING SERVICE
Information and counselling on birth control options and oral contraception purchase programs provided by appointment only for registered clients of the medical clinic.

Lung Health Care

ONGOING REFERRAL SERVICE
Primary healthcare providers can refer clients to this program who have chronic lung disease such as asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). A registered respiratory therapist assesses and evaluated the clients and assists them in maintaining optimal lung health. By appointment only.

Living Well With a Chronic Condition

WORKSHOP
A six week workshop series offered for Chronic Disease Self-Management and Chronic Pain Self-Management. Workshops are designed to help manage a chronic condition to live a healthy life.

Nutrition Counselling

ONGOING SERVICE
Individual nutrition counselling is available in the primary health care clinic.  Clients of the medical clinic can ask their health care provider for a referral.  Other clients who live in the Carlington catchment area may be able to access this services based on availability and reason for the request. Adults with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or at risk of diabetes, please contact the Community Diabetes Education Program of Ottawa at 613-238-3722 for free nutrition counselling.
