The Baby-Friendly Initiative is a global campaign of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). It was developed to help hospitals and community agencies protect, promote and support breastfeeding.

EarlyON Child and Family Centres offer free programs to parents/caregivers and their children from birth to six years of age. These centres welcome all families to participate in quality programs that help strengthen adult-child relationships, support parent education, and; foster healthy child development.
Carlington offers a wide range of programs targeted to children, youth and teens. From school readiness programs for children starting kindergarten, to homework clubs, after-school programs and drop-ins.
The Annavale Headstart is a full-day preschool program for 2 to 4 year-olds. Full subsidies are available for families who qualify. Bus transportation is available. Contact Program Coordinator at 613-798-5689 to find out how to register.
